In line with our activities of giving back to the society and helping the needy, Engtek Community Services (ECS) paid a visit to Rumah Seri Cahaya Orphanage in Batu Maung on Monday 15th November 2010, where our Executive Chairman, Dato' Gillian Teh handed out new uniforms and school shoes (a set each) to 23 school going children who resided in this orphanage.   Rumah Seri Cahaya, an orphanage home run by volunteers enables orphans (and children from very poor or broken homes) from the surrounding areas to have a place to stay in and at the same time continue with their schooling in the government schools. Apart from housing orphans, Rumah Seri Cahaya also takes in and cares for a few old citizens who are homeless or have no one to look after them. This orphanage is funded by kind donations from the public.
