History

The late founder was trained as a physician but had a passion for mechanical inventions. Deciding to take his hobby a step further, the late Dato’ Teh Ah Ba established the Eng Hardware Electrical workshop. This was over 30 years ago.

A leading manufacturer and supplier of Hard Disk Drive components today, the ENGTEK Group has indeed grown progressively since.

The initial years saw the company embarking on extensive expansion plans due to the overwhelming demand for its products. By 1984, there were five Eng Hardware Engineering workshops on the island alone. Soon, more companies and subsidiaries were set up under the ENGTEK Group. In 1993, Eng Teknologi Holdings Bhd. (ETHB) made a strong debut on the Bursa Malaysia Second Board.

Guided by Dato’ Teh’s vision and fully-equipped with machines capable of manufacturing high-quality precision tooling and value-added products, the ENGTEK Group soon spread its wings further as opportunities beckoned.

Today, the ENGTEK Group has a total floor space of 60,000 sq. metres and state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities across Asia, not only succeeding in manufacturing value-added products but also continuing to chart new markets as it builds upon a commitment to constantly improve and enhance its capabilities and capacities.
